FLIT M2 Shines at London Summer Festivals
Looking back at the last two weekends in London test riding the M2
The past two weekends, we found ourselves at the Hampstead Big Fair and the Northcote Road Summer Festival in London. As we are nearing our first delivery dates in August, these vibrant events in a city where we seem to be building up quite a strong customer base, offered the perfect platforms to showcase and test ride the M2.
As we set out to introduce festival-attendees to the benefits of our compact, folding e-bike, we found that the lively atmospheres and diverse crowds provided an ideal backdrop for engaging with potential customers.
Hampstead Summer Festival Big Fair
The Hampstead Summer Festival Big Fair, held in the heart of one of London’s most charming neighbourhoods, was our first summer festival this year. The fair attracted a wide array of vendors and visitors, from families enjoying a day out to avid cyclists, and a few people who had heard about us online and had been eager to get their hands on the M2 in person. We set up our booth in a prime location, near a side street that was ideal for test-riding.
As the fair began, curiosity drew visitors to our booth. Demonstrating the quick and easy folding mechanism of the FLIT M2 captivated many onlookers. One of the most frequent comments was on the bike’s aesthetic appeal—its modern design and lightweight frame were immediate attention-grabbers.
Despite the lack of sunshine, and the occasional heavy downpour, we were able to get some enthusiastic cyclists on the bike to test-ride it. Watching people experience the smooth, electric-assisted ride for the first time was a delight. The electric boost, especially on the slopes of Hampstead, showcased the bike’s practicality and ease of use. Our test riders returned with smiles, intrigued by the prospect of owning a bike that could tackle urban commutes with such efficiency.
Northcote Road Summer Festival
Next, we headed to the Northcote Road Summer Festival, located in the bustling district of Battersea. Luckily for us, the weather seemed to be more in our favour, and the Festival drew a much larger crowd (without umbrellas this time), from young working-professionals to active retirees. We engaged visitors by showing our quick and smooth fold, and by further highlighting the bike’s innovative features, such as its efficient battery life and powerful torque sensor.
Most people were keen to get a feel of the weight and its portability. Again, the practical demonstration of the fast fold not only drew large crowds but also effectively communicated the bike’s convenience for city living and commuting. There seemed to be a lot of excitement regarding the weight of the battery, as well as the disc brakes.
Both festivals provided excellent opportunities to showcase the FLIT M2 to a wide audience. The test rides and demonstrations were particularly effective in showing off the bike’s unique selling points. Many visitors expressed genuine interest, with lots taking flyers and others signing up to our mailing list for future updates and test rides. These types of events are such a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with people face-to-face, and we were very excited about the amount of feedback and positive comments received from such a wide array of individuals.
