First, let's talk about delivery timelines.
Last week, we explained that the expected delivery date has been set back to late October, due our motor supplier (Bafang) supplying us with the wrong length motor controller cable.
We have some good news! Bafang is currently making extension cables to solve the problem. These will be sent straight to the UK where our team will assemble them into your ebikes before distribution, meaning no further hold-ups to manufacture in Taiwan.
This means that assembly can begin next week, and we’re still on track for delivering your ebike to you in late October (early November for US customers).
We thank you for your continued patience and support. Delays are extremely frustrating for us too, but we’re pleased that we have found a solution that doesn't affect quality.

PAINTING COMPLETE, TIME TO PREPARE FOR ASSEMBLY
Despite the setback, this week has been really exciting, as we have been preparing everything for final assembly! Dave spent today in the factory, where main frames are being loaded onto the production line in readiness for the very last stage of manufacture.
Over in the warehouse, the finished painted parts have arrived (making for a very colourful scene!), and Dave has spent the past few days helping to assemble these into their ‘sub-assemblies’. As we explained in our previous update, the reason that we’re doing this is to speed up the process as much as possible. By pre-assembling more complicated parts of the bike like the front assembly and rear swing arm in the warehouse, final assembly should be that much quicker.
The remaining sub-assemblies are being sent to the factory on Monday, so that we can begin the final stage of building your FLIT-16s!
