Hi guys,
Dave here, I’m currently out in Taiwan with our manufacturing partner, so I thought I’d give you a quick update of what’s going on over in the factory, and what I’ll be doing whilst I’m here for the next couple of weeks…
BATTERIES BUILT!
One of the big milestones that I’m very happy to say that we’ve reached is that all batteries have now been manufactured! The development of the battery has been the most complex part of the whole project, so it’s great to see them all boxed up and ready for assembly when the bikes are finished.
DEMO BIKES (FOR THE LONDON BIKE SHOW)
Four sets of front frames and rear swing arms have been welded up and are ready to go! These are for our demo bikes, which I’ll be bringing back with me for the London Bike Show on the 27th – 29th March (a date for your diary if it isn’t in there already!).
Assembling these four bikes first whilst I’m in Taiwan allows us to check everything so that we can prevent any snags during the final assembly of your bikes.
The demo bikes will be put through their paces on the test track on the London Bike Show, so it’s a great chance for you to test ride again and meet the team if you fancy it. You can check out the full show details and buy tickets here: https://thelondonbikeshow.co.uk/

HEADSET UPDATE
We mentioned in our last update about the headset. I can now confirm that it’s just gone in for its final test today (this is the fatigue test that we previously showed you a video of).
For the next two weeks of the trip I’ll be focusing on assembling the demo bikes, helping out with the final testing of our electrical system, and working on the packaging needed to get your bike to you safe and sound.
OUTSIDE THE FACTORY
Aside from manufacturing, the weather has been pretty amazing over the past few days. To give you an idea of how beautiful the Taiwanese countryside is surrounding the factory, here are a few snaps of the views! Beats our normal office view that’s for sure.
If you have any particular manufacturing processes that you’re interested in feel free to send requests in too – I’m gathering together footage for a series of explainer videos in the factory for certain parts of the bike.
