We’ve just reached a major milestone: welding of the main frames has begun!
This is a big moment for us as our first batch of FLIT-16s are closer to being finished ebikes, ready for their delivery in September. We’ve got some sneaky factory footage for you below!
As we get closer to delivery, the number of ebikes left from our first batch is rapidly decreasing (thanks so much to everyone that has joined us over the past few weeks!).
At the moment, the FLIT-16 is available with a massive £800 saving on the full retail price. On the 10th of July, the saving will reduce to £700. Pre-order yours now to make sure you don’t miss out!
Welding begins

A couple of weeks ago, we finished the manufacture of all main frame CNC components. For those of you that are newer to FLIT, CNC components are made using a CNC mill, which gradually removes material from a solid metal block to achieve the desired shape. As you can imagine, this is quite a slow process, but it allows us to make the more complicated shapes on the FLIT-16, such as the hinges. For a more detailed explainer on CNC milling, check out our previous update.
Now that the main frame components are complete, welding begins!
Next steps of manufacture
Once we have welded the main frames, we’re then ready to start heat treatment and alignment, and then the frames are ready to be painted!
Dave, our Technical Lead, is off to visit the factory in a few weeks’ time to help out with the final assembly of our first batch of FLIT-16s. We’re looking forward to showing you more footage from the factory as the ebikes take shape!
Pre-order your FLIT-16
We have very limited numbers of ebikes left from our first manufacturing batch… and that number is fast decreasing as we get closer to delivery.
From the 10th July, the FLIT-16 will be £1,799. You can pre-order yours before then for £1,699 by clicking below:
If you’d rather wait until closer to delivery, you can still reserve your FLIT-16 from our first manufacturing batch for just £199. The remaining balance of £1,600 is due on the 15th August. You can find the full details here.
